Paranormal Activity 3

Yesterday I went to see two movies with my mom: Dream House and Paranormal Activity 3. When my mom and I heard that Paranormal Activity 3 was out in theaters we immediately wanted to see it. My mom wanted to see it for fun, but I needed to see that movie for more than one reason. Number 1 because PA2 left me unsatisfied and pissed off. That is basically the same reason I saw PA2 as well. After I saw the first 2 Paranormal activity movies I was like "THAT'S IT?! NO! NO! DON'T YOU FREAKING LEAVE ME HANGING!"  hahaha Therefore after both of the movies I was really pissed off and I wanted to figure out the rest of the story. haha I think the creators of Paranormal Activity intended to do that so that people would keep coming to see the PA movies. O_O

The second reason why I wanted to see PA3 is because the first two movies....didn't really scare me that much. They left me unsatisfied in the "scare factor". Of course I was a little bit creeped out by the movies, but I didn't really feel "scared". The first two movies were essentially a little bit boring to me. I had no idea why everyone was so terrified of Paranormal Activity. haha All my friends at school said that "Oh, you know, it's so scary! It's like the scariest movie ever!" I responded, "HOW do you know what scary is? Do you sit at home watching scary movies all day like I do? No, I don't think so!" hahaha I don't know... I'm not saying that the PA movies aren't good, I just don't think they were as scary as everyone else claimed they were. I mean the PA movies are definitely good movies. They storyline keeps me intrigued all the time and it's one of the few movies I know of that can get away with not having a soundtrack at all. O_O haha The PA movies definitely do deserve their attention, but I just don't get scared by them. Not being scared by a movie is no a bad thing because whatever the PA movies lacked in the "Scare factor" they made up with the "spooky/creepy factor." The PA movies were kinda like the first Blair Witch movie. You don't see anything and they leave you hanging. haha XD

Anyways, Paranormal Activity 3 was a pretty good movie. There was a lot more to see in this movie than the first two PA movies. I consider PA3 to be the best out of all the Paranormal Activity movies so far. I think that this movie had more of a "scare factor" to it and I enjoyed it. The Bloody Mary scene in the movie was definitely something. O_O That was pretty freaky. haha I tried playing Bloody Mary before with my friends, but now...I kind of don't want to try it again after seeing that scene. haha XD There was a lot going on in this movie, and it seemed that the "spirits" interacted with the characters a lot more in this movie as well. Like I said before, there was a lot more to see in this movie. It wasn't just some shadows and noises. The ghosts were actually hurting them and interacting with them....violently, but at least they did something. haha So I was satisfied with the "scare factor" of the movie.

In PA3 they tell you about the beginnings of "activity." Not the very, very beginnings, but close enough. haha XD Basically, the story starts when the two sisters from the first two movies were little girls. They seem like a normal family, but things go a bit weird when the youngest sister, Christi, starts talking to her imaginary friend Toby. (By the way, WHO THE HELL IS TOBY?!) The husband/father senses something is wrong, but he doesn't really know what. He sets up cameras all throughout the house just to experiment and see if anything is going on in the house. Eventually, all the paranormal activity starts getting captured on tape. The family starts to freak out a bit, and the husband/father starts going into the history of his wife's family. He finds out something that relates to some satanic cult, and eventually when they go to the grandmother's house....well the 2 sisters survive and we get to see some spine breaking! O_O Then it goes to the credits with absolutely no music to support the movie at all. I applaud this movie for not having a soundtrack! haha XD That's freakin' awesome! :D

Yeah, like I said before, there's apparently some Satanic stuff going on and that's the reason why all the "activity" is happening. It always ends up as Satanic stuff. haha Now, I didn't really have a problem with this, but I noticed that a lot of horror movies these days are about exorcisms and demonic spirits/possession. O_O Seriously, "Drag Me To Hell," "The Rite," "Paranormal Activity 3," and many other recent horror movies seemed to have this exorcist/satanism/demonic possession vibe to them. O_O Are we entering into a new era of horror films where everything has to do with exorcism, religious cults, and demonic possession? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but really? haha It seems to me that horror movies these days are either remakes or about what I mentioned above. I don't know..maybe it's just me noticing that. Even the trailer before PA3 started was for a movie about exorcism and demonic possession! (That movie is called "The Devil Inside"...I think haha) Is it just me or does anyone else notice this trend? haha XD I don' know...that's just what I think.

Go check out "Paranormal Activity 3" if you haven't yet. It will definitely answer some of your questions and possibly satisfy you if you were like me at the end of PA2. When I say "like me" I mean you were cursing at the movie screen and saying "WHAT THE- THAT'S IT!?! NO! NO! NO! DON'T YOU END NOW! I HAVE 50 QUESTIONS FOR YOU!!" hahaha Well, that's it for now. Go watch the movie and STAY HEAVY! \m/

NARCISSISTIC CANNIBAL!

Korn have released a new single from their upcoming album, "The Path of Totality!" This new single features Skrillex and Kill The Noise. This song is pretty AWESOME! The very beginning of the song made me doubt it a little bit, but once it got to the heavy part, I loved it. This new single is just making me more excited for the new album! Korn's new album, "The Path of Totality," will be released on December 6th this year, which is 4 days before my birthday! It's like an early birthday present from Korn!! haha XD Needless to say my birthday will be awesome because of this new Korn album! haha Anyways, check out the new single and (for a limited time) you can download the single here. The download will be up until Sunday (15/10/11). STAY HEAVY! \m/

Korn Teletubbies?!

This is just a quick post. I just wanted to share a video that I found amusing! haha  Yesterday I was just browsing YouTube for some Korn music videos and I happened to stumble upon a video of  the Teletubbies dancing to, "Y'all Want A Single," by Korn. haha The video is synced almost perfectly to the song! :D I found the video to be very entertaining, but that's probably because I was really bored and tired. haha Although, watching Teletubbies dance to Korn should be pretty amusing anyways! haha XD

"A Dramatic Turn of Events" Dream Theater

On September 13 of this year (2011), Dream Theater released their new album, "A Dramatic Turn of Events." This new album is their first album with their new drummer, Mike Mangini, who is really freakin' awesome! :D Now initially I was already excited to hear this new album, but I was also a bit nervous to hear this album. I was a bit nervous to hear this album mostly because I was a big fan of Mike Portnoy and him leaving Dream Theater well.... I have to admit I was a bit angry about that. haha I was actually mad at Mike Portnoy, the drummer that I worship, for awhile... okay for a long while. haha Once I got over the departure of Portnoy, I started to get excited about the album and I was a bit anxious to know who the new drummer was. At first I did not know what to expect from Mike Mangini joining DT, but that all changed after I heard the album. I instantly trusted him to be the new supplier of awesome drumming to DT. :D Therefore I'm now no longer afraid of a Dream Theater without Portnoy. Mangini kicks-ass! haha :D (P.S. I'm still mad at you Portnoy! How dare you leave DT! Just kidding. haha :D You're still cool.)
The album itself is astounding and is better than their last album, "Black Clouds and Silver Linings," in my opinion. "Black Clouds and Silver Linings," didn't really impress me that much, but I still liked it because it was Dream Theater...and I love Dream Theater. haha XD "A Dramatic Turn of Events," made up for that album though! It is really a phenomenal record! All the songs are really an enjoyable listen. There is a total of 9 songs on the album. My personal favorites off the album are, "Build Me Up, Break Me Down," "On The Backs of Angels," and "Breaking All Illusions." The guitar harmonies in the beginning of, "Breaking All Illusions" kick ass!! The whole intro of that song is just amazing to me! Heck, that WHOLE SONG is just so FREAKIN' AWESOME! haha " On The Backs of Angels," was mostly my favorite song because it was the first single so, I already listened to it like 50 times before the whole record actually came out. haha I just ended up liking that song more and more with every listen! "Build Me Up, Break Me Down," is also a pretty awesome song! The vocals, music, and lyrics are cool as hell. Those three songs are my personal favorites, but I really love all the songs on the record.
Like said before, this album is astounding and I think Dream Theater really hit it with this record. All the music is just so great....I don't even know what to say about it! AHH! It's JUST GREAT! Of course Dream Theater is a really phenomenal band to begin with so, I guess this material is kinda expected? haha I don't know. It's just great stuff. Keyboards, drums, guitars, bass, vocals, everything jut solid and perfect on this record. All of the guys in Dream Theater are extraordinary musicians and I have mad respect for them. I don't really know how much you can rely on my opinions about DT and the new record because....I think Dream Theater kicks-ass no matter what! hahaha I think you can tell, I'm a pretty huge DT fan! haha Anyways, I really do think people should listen to this record because it really is a phenomenal record. Plus, it's Dream Theater dammit! You should listen to it just because it is Dream Theater! hahaha XD That's it for this post. Enjoy the video below and STAY HEAVY! \m/
